So I gave up on Inkscape. I had been using it from the start because normally it is easier and more versatile than trying to do anything with text in Gimp. But the new update of Inkscape keeps importing my files at thumbnail size and I could not for the life of me remember last night how to work around that.

Then I reflected that the point of Inkscape is that it is easier than Gimp, and it had become not that.

So that’s lettering in Gimp. Doesn’t fill me with joy, but it’s not humiliating either.  And it was actually a fairly quick process.

You surely notice where I changed up background styles in that lower left corner. Seeing it now, there is something to be said for consistency.

This is, for the record, the first time Sluggo says his name out loud.
